American Truck Simulator has only just released a huge expansion that goes to Texas – the biggest expansion, since everything Texas-related is bigger – but developer SCS Software has announced that it will take us straight north to Oklahoma. Meadow. Not a brand new game! DLC, should be about the same!
But it is brand new condition! Brand new condition, I’m going to treat you great! I’m going to give you rest stops, fill ups and some trailers. Great ancient plains, lakes and rivers. Flowers on the prairie where the cockchafers buzz, the trucks drive full. Lots of courage and lots of hope….
Oklahoma! (opens in new tab) where the trucks come to sweep across the plain
And the wavy wheat can certainly smell sweet
When the wind comes right behind the rain.
Oklahoma, every night my honey lamb and I
Sit by the road and watch trucks load,
Making lazy pick-ups in the light.
My apologies to Rodgers & Hammerstein. The new DLC for Truck Simulator features vast grasslands and wooded hills, and numerous low concrete bridges spanning Oklahoma’s rivers. There will certainly be a lot of gravelly agricultural backroads to tackle as well, as Oklahoma’s economy supports many of those.
You can find out more about it American Truck Simulator: Oklahoma on Steam (opens in new tab)and read one Announcement (opens in new tab) from SCS Software about it too. It doesn’t have a release date, but I doubt you’ve seen a 10th of Texas yet, so that should be good.
