The holiday season is upon us, which means eager eyes all over the world hunt for excellent gifts (opens in new tab). When it comes to PC gamers, we can be a tough market to buy into if you’re not specifically into technology. We have a great collection of black friday deals (opens in new tab) which can save you huge amounts on great tech gifts such as a new PC, laptop or headset, but maybe the gamer in your life already has this fully covered.
Well, then it’s time to help cover their loot and Devolver Digital’s new clothing line is an excellent choice. This selection of sportswear for people who do or do not exercise is the Devolver Athletic Club (opens in new tab) collection of clothing and it’s a great tongue-in-cheek nod to one of our favorite and most chaotic publishers out there.
The lineup includes several choices of t-shirt, a training top, a pair of sports socks and some very tempting red shorts. They feature custom Devolver-themed graphics by an Argentine artist Alan BerryRhys (opens in new tab). This includes a new mascot, the DAC Rooster who wears a college jacket while holding a gnarly nailed bat in an obvious nod to one of the publisher’s iconic series, Hotline Miami.
The whole list of clothes does a really good job of evoking those vintage sports club vibes. The rooster itself is very reminiscent of old style cartoon mascots, which is further enhanced by the tri-color print on faded shirts. Also bottom of the list for such a shirt is that “The Rooster likes to hurt people – with sports.” just in case we forgot this was Devolver we were dealing with.

Other designs offered show off the Devolver Athletic Club name in a typical North American school logo. All of the clothing in the series gives a definite nod to indie gaming if you know what to look for, while still letting your nerds fly under the radar when necessary.
Devolver also works together with the sustainable clothing brand Two Lives for the DAC collection. Two Lives focuses on using upcycled fabrics to reduce waste, using natural fibers in renewable energy plants. So this is not only a nice niche gift for your friends, but hopefully also for the environment.

In the usual Devolver humor, this also came with a statement from their beloved, if not quite real CFO, Fork Parker. “This seems a little less pointless to ask Santa than a gym membership,” Parker said. “Those shorts are kinda hot.” And let’s face it, he may be imaginary, but he’s not wrong about those shorts.
You can grab the Devolver Athletic Club apparel from the official ones Devolver Merch store (opens in new tab). If socks, shirts and booty shorts aren’t to your liking, there’s a ton of other stuff for gamers of all skill levels too. This includes other clothing, as well as things like toys, special edition games, pins, and even soundtracks for the best Devolver titles like Cult of the Lamb (opens in new tab)and Death Gate.
