Since a patch in early October, many people’s Sims are real work of art, acting and messing with each other like a bunch of alley cats, even though they have the trait sheet of a perfect little angel. However, there is light at the end of the tunnel: EA has stated via The Sims Instant Communication (opens in new tab) support account on Twitter that a fix will be forthcoming “early December”.
We previously reported (opens in new tab) about the epidemic of real jerkoffs in the Sims – it’s almost like something has been introduced to the water supply in Simville (Simlandia? Simmistan? Do the Sims live in Sim City?) Characters with otherwise placid natures were at each other’s throats, and whole families were torn apart by this epidemic of moodiness and rude behavior.
According to the Sims Community website (opens in new tab), Sims with the newly added Loyal trait have been immune to the bad vibes. It appears that the addition of the trait is related to the Sims’ mass hysteria, though EA doesn’t seem to have confirmed the exact cause anyway.
EA originally planned to have the patch ready today, November 18, but development on the patch seems to have taken longer than expected and next week’s Thanksgiving holiday in the US is sure to complicate things further.
Dear God, The Sims delve into family feuds over Thanksgiving dinner and political wrangling while infected with a plague of hate.
